March 10, 2010 Unexpected Chlorine Chemistry in Low Atmosphere of Interior United States May Affect Air Quality, Climate, Says Study A new scientific study packs a double surprise about the chemistry happening in the air around us. Chlorine, a chemical usually kicked into the atmosphere by sea spray, is more abundant than expected in air far from any coastline, and looks to be interacting with manmade pollution at night in ways that might affect air quality and climate. Pilot Program to Help CU Students Prepare for LEED Certification Test The University of Colorado Real Estate Center and the U.S. Green Building Council Colorado Chapter today are beginning a pilot program to prepare CU Real Estate Center students to take the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, Green Associate exam.
