Books and Supplies
The CU Book Store is proudly owned and operated by CU-Boulder. Conveniently located on campus in the University Memorial Center, the CU Book Store offers used, rental, digital and new textbooks, year round textbook sellback, CU clothing and gifts, school supplies, computer hardware and software at educational prices, grab and go snacks and convenience items, and magazines and general books.
Career Services
Career Services is a great place to get help with planning your career, finding an internship, and getting a job or going to graduate school. The Career Services fee you pay with your tuition covers almost everything—access to online internship and postgraduate job opportunities, admission to career and internship fairs, on-campus interviewing, employer and job-search skills presentations, professional career counseling, résumé critiques, and résumé referrals. Some tests and workbooks involve minimal additional costs.
Center for Multicultural Affairs
The Center for Multicultural Affairs (CMA) is a resource, referral, and counseling center that works to increase the retention/persistence of all students, with a particular focus on diverse students. A few of the programs offered by CMA are the Diversity Education Team, People of Color Film Series, Parents As Partners, peer counseling, Collegiate Leadership Development Program, and the White Antelope Memorial Scholarship.
Child Care
The Children’s Center serves the children of university residents, students, staff, and faculty. For information on services, schedules, and rates, call the office or visit the website. Drop-in childcare is available at the Student Recreation Center while parents use the rec center facilities.
Closing Campus
Hazardous storms and other emergencies occasionally force the campus to close. Closures for emergencies that occur at night normally are announced by 6:00 a.m. Daytime closures or evacuations are announced as decisions are made. Information on the nature of the emergency and any necessary instructions will be posted on the CU-Boulder website and sent via campus text alerts.
Counseling and Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers free individual and group counseling and workshops for all CU-Boulder students. All contacts are confidential.
Crises
From time to time, we all have difficulties with our personal relationships, social life, classes, or finances. As a result, we may feel depressed or anxious without being able to link these feelings to a single problem. Other crises arise when we are victims of physical assault, harassment, or discrimination; have a serious substance abuse problem; or feel violent or suicidal. If you find yourself in a crisis, don’t hesitate to call the Office of Victim Assistance at 303-492-8855.
CU NightRide
Any CU-Boulder student, staff, or faculty member may receive a free safe escort by vehicle to or from campus and throughout Boulder city limits. CU NightRide is based out of the UMC at the UMC reception desk on the second floor. Campus escorts are provided by a micro-minivan and are usually available within five minutes. Rides are available by heading to the CU NightRide dispatch desk in the UMC or from any location by calling the number above.

Disability Services
Disability Services’ mission is to provide students with disabilities the tools, reasonable accommodations, and support services to participate fully in the academic environment. Furthermore, their mission is to promote an accessible and culturally sensitive campus through outreach and by building partnerships within the university community and beyond.
E-mail is an official means of communication on the CU-Boulder campus. E-mail will be sent to your CU-Boulder e-mail address from the university, your professors, and college or school, which means you must check your university e-mail frequently. As a campus e-mail account holder, you are responsible for knowing and adhering to the university’s e-mail policies.
