Athletics
As a member of the Big 12 Conference, CU-Boulder’s varsity intercollegiate athletics teams compete with Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. Non-conference games are also scheduled every season. Spectators and participants can enjoy men’s and women’s intercollegiate competition in basketball, cross country, golf, alpine and Nordic skiing, volleyball, and indoor and outdoor track and field—as well as women’s soccer and tennis and men’s football.
Clubs and Organizations
Whether you’re looking for a group that emphasizes ethnic or cultural heritage, political involvement, hobbies, or environmental issues, clubs and organizations are an important part of campus life. Stop by the UCSU office in the UMC for more information about clubs and activities, or visit the student activities website or the online club guide.
Conference on World Affairs
The Conference on World Affairs, held each year during the second week of April, is the largest event in Boulder, attracting 92,000 students and visitors to over 200 sessions, all of which are free and open to the public. Roger Ebert, a participant for four decades, calls it the “conference on everything conceivable,” as topics are hardly limited to international affairs. No matter what your interests are, you’re sure to find something alluring in this year’s schedule.

Food and Dining
Whether you’re in the mood for a burger and fries, ethnic food, vegetarian fare, or a luxurious meal, you’ll find a variety of meal plan options and services in several different on-campus dining venues. Several meal plans are available that offer maximum flexibility and service. Another option is the food service at the UMC, which offers a wide variety of fresh-made meals, bakery treats, restaurants, and catering to the university and Boulder communities.
Museums and Galleries
CU-Boulder is fortunate to offer a variety of museums, galleries, and other on-campus attractions. The CU Art Museum—set to re-open in fall 2010 in the state-of-the-art Visual Arts Complex at the heart of campus—organizes year-round exhibitions of major national and international art in addition to showing work by regional artists and students.
Parking on Campus
If you plan to park frequently on campus, consider buying a parking permit. A lot will be assigned according to your living arrangement. Permits must be purchased online and a pick-up location is announced for each semester. Campus parking meters are intended for short-term use.

As a CU-Boulder student, you are part of the university and Boulder communities. Because of this, you have a responsibility to celebrate your accomplishments in a way that keeps your communities safe. Be safe, be successful, be a smart partier.

The College of Music presents over 400 events every year including guest appearances, faculty recitals, ensembles, and student recitals. The College of Music is also home to the popular CU Presents program, as well as the Golden Buffalo Marching Band, CU choirs, orchestras, and more.
